Getting my read on.

Below is a rundown of what I'm currently reading.

During a conversation with a friend, I mentioned my inability to sit through a whole movie - much less, read a book - without experiencing a weird restlessness.

Here's the best way I can describe it: I tend to start focusing on when the movie/book/lecture will be over and can't focus on the movie/book/lecture at all.

He suggested this book so I'm (slowly) getting through it. Ironically, not exactly a short read.

1. Driven to Distraction (Revised): Recognizing and Coping with Attention Deficit Disorder

This one is just daily meditations. More practical than uplifting. They complement my coffee perfectly.

2. The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living

Finally, reading this. Extreme case of finding common ground with an adversary.

3. The Best of Enemies: Memoirs of Bassam Abu-Sharif and Uzi Mahnaimi

Might post some thoughts as I complete them and will continue to update this list as I move on to new books.
